Sharing in Our Dominican Charism
Associate Covenant
 Associates
are women and men who enter into a covenant relationship
with the Caldwell Dominican Community. This covenant
provides a way in which lay men and women, 18 and over,
can proclaim the Gospel values of peace, justice, and
compassion, enhance their own spiritual lives and share
in the Caldwell Dominican charism.
 An
Associate is an extension of the Dominican Family.
Each plays a part in implementing the Vatican II
mandate:
“All are called
to holiness
and to nurture the implication
that all are called to contemplation.”
Mission Statement
of the
Caldwell Dominican Associates
 We,
as Associates of the Sisters of Saint Dominic of
Caldwell, New Jersey, embrace the Dominican charism to
praise, to bless, and to preach. We journey with the
vowed members of this Community in carrying forward its
mission: to develop a passion for contemplation, to
promote social justice and to recognize the sacredness
of all creation. In the spirit of this Dominican mission
we identify ourselves as Associate Dominicans in our
homes, our workplaces, our parishes, and our
communities, and use our gifts and talents to support
the vision of the Community. It is in this close
association with the Caldwell Dominican Community that
we endeavor to manifest our own love of God and of our
world.
