"Women today
are seeking
something to
believe in,
and
we have that
to share."
Quote by Sister Laurie
Brink, OP (Sinsinawa, Wisconsin)
Who can become a Sister of Saint Dominic?
Single
Catholic women, usually between the ages of 21 and 39,
who desire to participate in the Dominican way of life:
prayer, study, community, and ministry centered in the
Gospel.
- Women who have a personal prayer life and a desire
to deepen their life of prayer in community and in
ministry.
- Women who appreciate diversity and welcome the
experience of living and working together with a wide
variety of people.
- Women who desire to use their gifts in the service
of others and also to recognize and affirm the talents
of others.
If I am thinking about
becoming a Dominican sister, what can I do that will
help me to make a decision?
-
Pray and ask God to guide you.
- Talk to a spiritual director, a sister or a
priest.
- Come for a visit. Call and make arrangements to
meet us and see our motherhouse in Caldwell.
- Come for a weekend or afternoon of prayer and
discernment with other young women who are thinking
about Dominican religious life.
- Join the sisters in prayer at a local convent.
