PREACHING  TODAY

As members of the worldwide Order of Preachers, we Caldwell Dominicans find ourselves preaching the Gospel in many venues and in many modes. Formal preaching based on prayerful reflection on the Word of God is shared during retreat conferences, in Church settings, and during home visits to the sick, to mention just a few. Each week one of these reflections is shared here on our website.

But formal Scriptural reflections are not the only way we preach. Sisters with special gifts rejoice to share those gifts also in the service of preaching, making God present to the world in myriad ways. Art, music, liturgical dance, poetry and prose are among the many forms chosen to express Dominican preaching to today’s diverse and fast-moving world.
