For 800 years, the Dominican Order has ministered at the heart of higher education, and more recently in the broader arenas of formal education.
In this 21st century our commitment to Seeking Truth and Speaking truth is reflected in the curriculum and mission of our college, academies, parish schools, early childhood and adult learning centers.
Through our ministry of education, the integration of the arts, humanities, and sciences complements the nurturing of the contemplative and creative spirit within each student, faculty member, and staff person.

Marian Manor
Caldwell, NJ
973-226-3433
Caldwell Dominican Sister Rita Margaret Chambers’ dream of affordable housing for an aging society was realized on September 15, 1981 when Marian Manor welcomed its first residents. This beautiful residence in Caldwell offers 160 New Jersey State-subsidized apartments to senior citizens living on fixed incomes. Activities, social services, spiritual events and wonderful friends combine here to make it the “new home” that is “just perfect” for its residents.

Siena Village
Wayne, NJ
973-696-2811
The dream of enlarging our Caldwell congregation’s ability to provide appropriate senior housing was realized through the work of Sister Alice Matthew Thees, OP when, in the midst of a 1996 snowstorm, the first residents of Siena Village in Wayne, NJ moved into their new home. This 250-apartment complex of low, moderate, and market-value apartments provides facilities and services for “A Community of Active, Independent Seniors.”

The Dominican Sisters who help to staff these two senior residences send you this message: "You’re always welcome to stop in and visit…but we may not all be at home the day you come – our residents enjoy their many opportunities for day trips and bus tour vacations!”
We help to provide pastoral leadership in parishes without resident priests
“A transforming vision…A vision that opens the future up to hope.”
Sister Miriam Therese MacGillis, OP
